Out and about in Falkirk
There’s no doubt about it, Falkirk offers excellent
road and rail links to Edinburgh, Glasgow and just
about everywhere else making it a haven for the commuter.
But there’s so much more to living in Falkirk.
Getting around
Both the bus and rail stations are
easy walking distance from the development. Main motorway
access by car is only 10 minutes away from Estrada
making it really easy for any kind of travelling in
and out of Falkirk.
Fun things to do
There are so many things to keep you
occupied in Falkirk, all of which are easy to get to
from the central location of the Estrada Apartments.
Glenbervie Golf Course is near at hand, as is Callander
Park and Callander House. Falkirk is home to some excellent
events during the year including the Street Art Festival
and the regular Farmer’s Market. There are several
sports centres available to keep you fit and healthy
plus a 12 screen multiplex cinema that you can visit
to see the next big film release.

Shopping
in the town centre
Falkirk offers one of the best
shopping experiences in Scotland with excellent
malls in the picturesque town centre plus two
retail parks close by. There is a fabulous range
of shops to choose from including all the big
high street names combined with lots of smaller,
independent stores. Grocery shopping is also
well catered for with two large supermarkets
just around the corner from Estrada.

The Falkirk
Wheel
The Falkirk Wheel is the world’s
only rotating boatlift and is used to connect
the Forth and Clyde Union canals in Central Scotland.
This magnificent, mechanical marvel has been
constructed to 21st Century, state-of-the-art
engineering and is already being recognised as
an iconic landmark for Falkirk worthy of Scotland’s
traditional engineering expertise. Soon, visitors
to the ‘Wheel’ will be able to enjoy
the ‘Falkirk Wheel Experience’ at
the new visitor centre providing a great day
out for the whole family. |
